What can you expect from our astronomy experience at Sant Andreu de Gitarriu?
The price is €125.00 + 21% VAT per person. From the third participant onwards, the price is €25.00 + 21% VAT per additional guest, for groups of up to 6 people.
The experience begins in Tortellà, where participants board a 4x4 vehicle for the journey to Sant Andreu de Gitarriu Hermitage, in the heart of Alta Garrotxa, one of the most remote and spectacular locations for exploring the night sky.
The evening is led by Kilian Víndel, a Starlight-certified astronomer, who will present an inspiring talk about the Universe, followed by guided observing with the Seestar S50 smart telescope and a live astrophotography session. Participants will later receive the images captured during the experience.
The experience also features photographer Esteve Serra, who will share the legends and oral traditions of Alta Garrotxa, connecting the landscape, its history and the night sky.
Guests will enjoy a selection of local products, creating an intimate and exclusive evening that blends science, heritage, nature and local gastronomy.
Warm clothing and suitable mountain footwear are recommended. If weather conditions are unsuitable, the experience will be rescheduled at no additional cost.
