What can we offer you with our astronomy experience in Lliurona?
This is a private experience exclusively for your booking: we never combine guests from different bookings.
The meeting point is the Cabanelles service station, between Besalú and Figueres. From there, participants must travel to Lliurona in their own vehicle, following the organisation’s vehicle along a paved forest road. Therefore, a private vehicle is required, as transport is not included in the experience. Lliurona is one of the most isolated villages in Catalonia.
Once there, the activity will take place within the village of Lliurona, and we will move only around the village and its roads.
In this exceptional setting, you will enjoy a premium astronomy experience including an astronomy talk, observation with the Seestar S50 telescope, live astrophotography and a tasting of local products. All beneath an exceptionally clear night sky, surrounded by the silence of the Alta Garrotxa.
The fallow deer and roe deer are wild animals, and sightings cannot be guaranteed. If they appear, we will neither approach nor follow them. We will observe them quietly, from a distance and with a night-vision device, without shining lights on them or disturbing their natural behaviour.
The total duration of the activity is approximately 5 hours, including the outward and return journeys.
The experience includes one-day personal accident insurance for each participant, included in the price.
We will begin reviewing the weather forecast 72 hours in advance and reconfirm the activity approximately 24 hours beforehand. If conditions are unsuitable for observation, we will agree on a new date at no additional cost, as many times as necessary.
If you wish, we can also recommend accommodation so that you can complete the experience and enjoy this remote location and its star-filled sky at a relaxed pace.
